What is Harvest Your Own?

Pick your own fresh vegetables or flowers from a living garden, not a box scheme or polished subscription. This is a small, community-focused invitation to take part in a real farm, support local small-scale growers, and reconnect with the simple joy of seeing how your food is grown. To get notified when our farm will be open for harvesting, please subscribe to our newsletter here:

How it works

Subscribe to our newsletter: To get regular updates on what’s happening and when the farm is open for harvesting (produce & weather dependent).

Reserve your spot: Reply via our email notifying you of a harvest day. Spots are limited to ensure there’s enough produce at any given time.

Harvest morning: We have baskets and snips, harvest what’s ready and what you choose.

Pay for what you take: Abundance varies with the season.

Back to the soil: We compost scraps and recycle garden waste. We’re happy to take yours from home too!

What to expect when you come.

An invitation to step into the garden’s rhythm and process.

Dirt under your nails, uneven ground, and vegetables that aren’t identical.

Birds, bugs, mud, sun, and the occasional surprise.

Gentle guidance on harvests that keep the garden thriving.

*No experience required—just curiosity and willingness to participate.

Why participate

Reconnect with where your food comes from, away from plastic-wrapped, far-away produce and closer to the garden it was grown in. Harvesting your own means taking home fresher, more alive vegetables that nourish both body and mind, while building a slower, more human relationship with food.

The future we’re building

Bec and Brent hold a certificate in Nutrition Farming an internationally respected course by Graeme Sait and his inspirational vision for agriculture and human health.   A great deal of time, money, and effort goes into growing nutrient-dense food through remineralising soils, increasing biodiversity, and using organic growing practices. No harmful chemicals are used, and even organic “cides” are rarely needed, as we strive to create a resilient, balanced system that can largely sustain itself naturally.

As the farm evolves, so will the life around it. We hope to nurture a core farm family of regulars, alongside seasonal gatherings, shared meals, workshops and celebrations that bring people closer to the land and each other. Over time, Long Table Farm will continue to unfold gently, with new spaces, animals and experiences shaped by the rhythm of the farm.

WHO this is for

Harvest Your Own is for people who value seasonal, local food and want to take part in where it comes from. It’s for families, individuals and for anyone seeking a more meaningful, hands-on connection to the land.
